As of the first of February, $59,000 of the $89,000 has been raised for the organ through generous donations, the sponsorship of stops, keys and pedals, a successful house tour, and a wonderful benefit concert by the Goshen Suzuki Strings.
An additional $18,500 could be raised through the continued sponsorship of the 9 stops, 146 keys, and 23 pedals which are still available. An often used saying,   " many hands make light work" said another way applies here -
"many small donations make for large sums".
($8.00 per week given by 100 people for 12 weeks would equal $9,600)

As Pastor Sheryl has said many times, "With St. John's working together as one body in Christ, much can be accomplished."

WHAT IS AN ALLEN RENAISSANCE QUATUM CONSOLE ORGAN?

Why are we so excited about this new organ? The Allen Renaissance Quantum Console Organ is a three manual, fifty-stop instrument which will provide us with the most realistic pipe organ sound available in a non-pipe organ. This digital computer church organ will provide the sounds of pipe organs used the world over. Its Quad Suite Voicing provides the versatility of four separate and distinct organ sounds—the American Classic, English Cathedral, Neo-Baroque and French Romantic. In addition, the Allen Company has developed a fifth voicing sound, the Orchestral, which includes sounds of strings, piano, brass, woodwinds and percussion. The Allen Company uses a process called Acoustic Portrait, a science of sampling. This process measures the acoustic properties of a room and stores these properties in its computer. This technology then reproduces the true acoustic response of the room where it is –be it an intimate room or a cavernous cathedral. This organ will not only enhance worship in the current Worship Center, but will also serve us well in our future sanctuary.
