childcare

We provide childcare during both of our worship services in our nursery room, as well as during meetings and events as requested. Our childcare providers are trained in CPR and undergo a background check prior to hiring. 

soothing ROOM

A Soothing Room is available during both worship services in the northwest corner of the Worship Center for parents of nursing babies and young children. A rocking chair and children’s bookshelf is available, as well as live stream from the worship service.

CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL @ 10:10 a.m.

St. John’s offers Sunday School for children from 3 years old through high school. Along with the First Look and 252 Basics curriculum offered by Orange, we strive to give all children the foundation of the Bible with life applications for each grade level and a faith development milestone to accomplish during the school year.

First Look: Preschool & Kindergarten - geared to teach our little ones three basic truths:

  • God made me.

  • God loves me.

  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

252 Basics: 1st - 5th Grade - teaching three important rules:

  • I can trust God no matter what.

  • I need to make the wise choice.

  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Faith milestones

Along with using curriculum that teaches the Bible and life application, each grade level has a faith development milestone to accomplish during the school year:

  • Pre-K: Learn simple Bible stories; Three Basic Truths (God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be my friend forever)

  • Kindergarten: Memorize John 3:16; Three Basic Truths (God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be my friend forever)

  • 1st & 2nd: The Lord's Prayer; Sacrament of Communion

  • 3rd - 5th: Books of the Bible and The Ten Commandments
